NYAD EDUCATION COMMITTEE:
Dental Ethics Program
One of the primary charges of the NYAD’s Education committee is to oversee and participate in the Dental Ethics programs at the local dental schools. Currently, NYAD fellows participate as volunteer facilitators in Dental Ethics programs at Columbia, NYU, and Stonybrook dental schools. The NYAD also provides funding and textbooks for these programs and for training of the NYAD volunteer Ethics facilitators. The overall goals of involvement include promoting Ethics and professionalism in dentistry, maintaining an open dialogue with dental students about ethical issues in our profession and creating an environment of Ethical awareness among the next generation of dentists.
